Also known as the "pull down menu" version shopping cart, the Apparel Cart is used in situations where a single product has color, size and other attributes ... all affecting price and/or shipping weight.

It has taken our research and development department longer to release this product than some other firms in the marketplace because we refused to oversimplify the issues associated with these types of products (jewelry, shoes, clothing, uniforms) namely the issue of "impossible" SKUs ... combinations of colors, sizes or other attributes that are not available for purchase.

For instance, if you have a dress shirt that comes in White, Tan, Gray, Blue and Black and sizes Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, and 5XL.at first this looks like a very straightforward two-attribute product. Then the web site owner reveals that 3XL through 5XL are only available in the White color. Most shopping carts we've seen on the web force the web site owner to set up 3XL through 5XL as a separate product with just the White color option. Our system allows the web site owner to create just one product and then "uncheck" the impossible SKUs from a generated matrix of all possible color and size combinations. The end result is a web site that is easy to maintain for the web site owner and very intuitive for the prospective customer shopping on the web site.

Since our system allows for an unlimited number of attributes, the Rapid Deployment Apparel Cart can actually be used as an entry-level "configurator" for companies with product complexity that goes well beyond color and size combinations.
